One Product…many benefits…cooktop cover

October 11th, 2009

Like so many of our customers who write to me, I was looking for an easy and simple way to utilize the space taken up by the cooktop in my kitchen counter.  I wanted to have a way to add more serving space for a ladies bunko party I was hosting.  I tasked my engineer husband with the mission to design something that would enable me to utilize the space.

He delivered to me a black satin, nicely crafted, light weight cooktop cover.  I placed it on my kitchen counter and was struck by the simplicity, how the black satin disappeared into the background and the large amount of serving space the cooktop cover provided.  It was love at first sight!

Since that day we have been designing, manufacturing and selling cooktop covers for five years.  Many of our friends and neighbors have them and are very happy with our product.  We have maintained our quality and we have not deviated from our original design standards.  A high quality item, manufactured in the US and designed with the customer in mind.

Can we build one for you?  Visit our website to learn more about the cooktop cover at www.cooktopcover.com  Be sure to look at the picture gallery and watch our video as “seen on TV”.

One is good, two is better…

October 9th, 2009

Today we received an order for two cooktop covers…from the same customer.  Turns out that the customer has a kitchen in their finished basement.  So they purchased a cooktop cover for the main kitchen and a cooktop cover for the finished basement cooktop also.

I never really thought about a cooktop cover for the basement kitchen but many people use their finished basement for entertaining.  A cooktop cover is the perfect way to create more serving space quickly and easily.  Our new customer saw a good thing and went for it, or both, two cooktop covers.

The holiday’s are coming and entertaining is a big part of this time of year.  The cooktop cover is a great way to expand your serving space.  Check out our website www.cooktopcover.com

Will the CookTop Cover Scratch?

September 25th, 2009

Customers email us with many questions.  One customer wrote to me to ask if the CookTop Cover will scratch.  The cooktop cover is finished with an industrial strength black satin (or appliance white) powder coat finish.  The “paint” is actually a plastic in powder form.  We spray the powder on in a special chamber and then we bake the finish on at 400 deg F.  The powder melts and flows to form a totally sealed plastic finish.

I am careful with my cooktop cover not to drag any serving dishes on the cooktop cover.  I place them to avoid scratching the cooktop cover.  In addition I place little green felt pads on the feet of my serving dishes to avoid scratches.  An ounce of prevention keeps my cooktop cover looking like new.

Why wait…order today www.cooktopcover.com

Enjoy

Recent Inquiry

September 23rd, 2009

We at Cooktopcover.com recently had an inquiry regarding how much weight our product could hold.  My husband Bill decided to give our cooktop cover a real test and stood on it.  He weighs 180 pounds, so that is the answer, at least 180 pounds.  I have many serving dishes made out of all sorts of materials, ceramic, metal, glass but none weigh anywhere near that amount.  I would have to say you are safe in placing any serving dish you have on our product.  Enjoy!

End of Summer, holidays are coming!

September 22nd, 2009

Hi everyone - just a quick note.  My summer was great.  We spent time with the grandchildren, went to the zoo and the aquarium.  We ate too much and laughed a lot.  I hope you had a good summer too.  Now that school has started, I began to look ahead and realized the holidays would be coming up.

Holidays are a fun time with family and cooking and entertaining.  So make part of your preparation this year a Cook Top Cover.  We offer them in a standard size in either black satin finish or appliance white.  We also make Custom Stainless Steel for a little bit bigger price.

CookTop Cover gives you the added counter top space for serving your favorite meals.  Recently, we discovered that the cooktop cover works very well to lay out a spread for the football games!  All those snacks and room to spare.  Visit our newly redesigned website at www.cooktopcover.com.  Call me with any questions at 919-400-7233.

So which ever team you are rooting for,  make cooktop cover part of your game plan.

Best regards,

Joyce
